I Was Scared To TRY , I Let Fear Hold Me Back. Are You Having The Same Thoughts?
The most common thing people say to me when they learn about any Internet Income life style and how one can make money online for a living is “I wish I could do what they do”.
This always confuses me because most of these people who say this are smarter than them.
This got me thinking, why are people so scared to try something?
This doesn’t just apply to building your own Internet business, but anything you want to do in life. People are scared to get started.
I remember back to when I first started reading about making money online. I was fascinated, but I spent 4-5 months reading before I even attempted to learn anything. I thought of every reason in the world why I couldn’t do it.
I didn’t know web design, SEO, email list building, product creation, affiliate marketing, and anything technical that I needed to know to get started. It seemed like a mountain to climb and I was scared and paralyzed by fear, but I kept buying products on how to make money online.
Finally I started slowly learning WordPress, hosting, basic photoshop, SEO, and other forms of traffic generation. Once I got started, things got much easier and I kept getting better and better at what I was learning.

If I wouldn’t have forced myself to get started my life would still suck.
Now that I think about it I don’t know why I was so scared.
Don’t let fear stop you from getting started. Nobody will send you to jail or drag you down the street because they didn’t like your blog post. You won’t end up injured because you mess something up.
If you fail you pick your ass up and start again.
What’s the worst that can happen? – You just can’t figure it out no matter how much time and energy you put into it.
What’s the upside?—- You change your life and the people around you. You learn the true meaning of freedom and build a business that allows you to experience things only the top 5% people in the world can do.
I don’t know about you, but I like the 2nd option. I’m willing to go out on a limb and say that 90% of people will fail when trying to build a business online.
Why?
They will never get started or they quit because they’re scared they will fail. You will have plenty of obstacles when building your own business and the worst obstacle can be yourself. Your mindset is the most powerful tool you have in your toolbox.
You don’t need to know SEO, web design, or anything technical. You can outsource all of this, but you do need a strong mindset and determination to stick with it and not let fear paralyze you.
From day one my attitude was “I will mess up a lot of stuff until I figured out how to do something right”. Guess what? This attitude never failed me. I failed more times then I succeeded, but I didn’t let the failures intimidate me. I was determined to make this work.
Don’t wait for the timing to be right, or the magical method to give you the secret, or someone to hold your hand. The secret is it takes hard work!!

Get out there and write some blog posts for your personal blog- Don’t worry your going to suck, it’s part of it. Look at any successful blog and read their very first post and then read their posts down the line. No one had the magic ticket or the answers to everyone’s problems from day one– You learn this along the way.
Make some Youtube videos- it’s going to be awkward trust me. I still get a little nervous to this day when I make videos for my blogs or videos to send to potential offline clients. It’s not normal to get in front of a camera and talk to your computer. Your going to feel stupid, and critique yourself, and think you look like an idiot. Who cares? Have some fun with it.

Learn how to build a list- This won’t be easy. You have to find your writing style and how to connect with your audience. You will get people who unsubscribe. Who cares? Will this kill you or hurt you? No it wont, so stop making excuses. The longer you put off building your list the more you will regret it a year down the line if you stick with this.
You know my number one regret? Not building a list earlier. I lost so many customers by just selling to them once. The easiest person to sell to is someone who already bought from you. Collect their email address, don’t let these people slip through your fingers. Put those opt in forms up and build a squeeze page.
Stop being scared and worrying about what could happen. Instead, focus your energy on how you’re going to make this work and don’t give up until you figure it out. Start messing stuff up and learning from your experiences.

There’s no better time to get started then right now!!
