Do you have a personal blog?
When you start as a bloggers journey online This is the first question that people ask you. Do you have a personal blog?
If you answer no, you should start one right now!
The purpose of having a Personal blog in Internet marketing is to document your story.
I look at it as a place to document my story, write down my thoughts, and networking with other Internet marketers.
I’m sure some of you’re afraid to get started and think you have nothing to write about, but you will get better with time.
The more you blog and share your story the better you will get. You will learn to develop your own writing style and learn to open up and share your thoughts and goals.
When I first started doing affiliate marketing it wasn’t hard because I was just writing reviews and not sharing anything about myself,
but once I started blogging it made me step out of my comfort zone. I was forced to share things about myself, who I am, what I represent,
and I had to let people read what I wrote.
This was a big deal for me because I was self conscious about my grammar and spelling.
I had a bad motorcycle accident a few years back and knocked my head pretty hard.
So sharing my misfortunes and even letting people know how I’m making money was outside my comfort zone.
You don’t have to be making $15k a month to have a personal blog.
Actually, I think it’s better if you’re just starting out to document your journey now.
Even if you only make $10 a month in adsense. Document everything, including what doesn’t work.
People don’t just want to read about how you succeeded at everything.
They want to know about your failures and how you overcame the struggle.
This motivates them and keeps them going.
The earlier you start the better.
If you stick this out until you succeed you will appreciate it when you can look back at all the blog posts and see just how far you came.
I wish I started my own personal blog from the begining.
I could have documented everything I did to share with others, what does and doesn’t work.
I tried all types of ways to make money, but most of them didn’t work.
If I would have had all the posts I would have figured out earlier that most of the methods didn’t work out because I gave up to early.
A blog is also good for personal branding. People want to know your story.
People are much more prone to buying things you create when they know who you’re.
They want to know if you’re the real deal or just making crazy claims.
Having a blog helps them relate to you and get to know who you’re and what you represent.
The more you open up and share your feelings, goals, and what makes you tick– the more you will find people reach out to you and look to you for advice.
A blog is great for networking.
You will meet people you never would have had the chance to meet if you didn’t have a blog.
Regardless what niche you’re in this will always be true.
People will be searching for content to answer their questions and concerns.
So why not be the one to give it to them?
A blog can help you get clients, sell more products, and build partnerships you never would have had the chance to do.
Some people won’t make a single dollar from their blog, but if you do it right the blog will tie everything together.
If you have a list you can do email blogging or send them to a blog post.
If you don’t know, email blogging is when you write your blog posts in a email.
Either way you should still post the content on a blog to get more traffic and more eyes reading your content.
A blog builds credibility. The longer you go, the more your blog will pay you back.
When people do some research on you because your selling a E-course they may google your name and come across your blog.
If they search through your blog and see you have hundreds of posts with good content they are going to trust you a lot more then if you had nothing to backup your claims.
Finally a blog will help you network with other people in your niche.
When you approach people for interviews and joint ventures it helps to have a blog or something you can refference to show you actually are involved and producing quality content in your niche.
So if you haven’t started a personal blog yet, get started!!
