How To Create Content People Freak’n Love
“Create good content”
“Create content that brings value to peoples lives”
When I started in this Industry three years ago I read “create good content” on every person’s blog I followed.
But…..I always thought to myself what the hell does that really mean anyway?
So I ignored it and went on my merry way to creating lots and oh do I mean lots of content hoping people would click my ads so I could make a buck.
Good content, get the heck out of here.
I just wanted to make money!
Fast forward three years and now I would pimp slap the old Jaggs in the face for even thinking this way.
So my aim for this post today is to help you truly understand what it takes to write “good content” and how to actually use your blog to build a following, make sales and create a business you love.
The other reason I’m doing this is because I see tons of Bloggers just blogging for the sake of blogging and someone needs to set them straight.
But…..I don’t fault them!
I love Blogging, but they could have done a better job in the quick start training to explain what you should be doing to actually make a living blogging.
So Jaggs, what should I be doing to get results with my make money blog?
Stand Out From The Crowd
The main problem I see with many make money online bloggers is a bunch of “ME” people.
Every post screams “buy my shit” or “please oh please sign up under me”.
Almost every review I see involves someone only sharing how great the company is and how it’s the best thing since sliced bread.
The world is full of enough selfish people and if you want to get ahead in this business I can tell you the key is to add massive value to peoples lives.
Sometimes that includes telling the bad side of the company or things you don’t like.
If there is one thing people hate it’s “bullshit”.
People want you to give it to them straight, show that you have their best interest in mind and see you’re genuine.
When I land on 95% of peoples blogs I can see they only give a crap about themselves.
The only peoples blogs I read are constant givers, inject their personalities into their content and they genuinely care about their readers.
You want to stand out from the crowd by being the guy to actually tell it like it is, focus on your readers and not yourself and create content that has the reader in mind.
It’s not hard to stand out in this industry when most people are out for themselves.
When you’re the guy constantly focused on helping others and solving their problems you will stand out fast.
Be Who You’re
I see to many people trying to be someone they’re not.
Hey, I’m guilty I once did it as well. I was trying to be a people pleaser and I ended up attracting the wrong type of customer who I didn’t enjoy doing business with.
Someone recent asked me why it feels like I’m writing directly to her.
It’s because I inject my personality into my content and I don’t hold back.
I once was afraid to put any curse words or say anything that might possibly offend someone in my posts or videos.
It wasn’t until I realized I wasn’t being the real me and I wanted to work with people who like me for me that I changed up my writing style.
I started writing how I talk and I started writing to my audience like we are sitting across the table shooting the shit.
Just like YOU’RE my buddy and not someone just reading my blog.
This does two things:
– It speaks directly to your target audience.
– Repels the people you don’t want to work with.
I want to work with people who aren’t so uptight that one cuss word is going to offend them and I want to separate people who are just going to “try” building a business and the people who are “serious” about building their business.
I want to work with people who have a sense of humor.
I want to work with people who see the value in what I teach them, but don’t try to steal my time and expect me to spoon-feed them answers.
I want to work with the doer’s not people who talk about doing something all day.
When you be yourself and not try to be the next “Jagan Rao” you will carve out your own piece of the pie and people will love you for being real.
If you cuss then cuss.
If you’re a goof ball then inject your humor in your posts.
If you’re the friendly guy next door that everyone loves then don’t try to be anyone different.
You will make more money by being yourself, trust me on this one.
Speak To One Type Of Person
When I write i’m speak’n to YOU.
The person who hates the status quo.
The person who knew they were never meant to be in a job and truly are entrepreneur.
The person who will do whatever it takes to live their dream lifestyle and succeed in this business.
The person who doesn’t believe in whining and complaining, but instead they take my advice and run with it to produce results.
The person who doesn’t need me to hold their hand, but just needs a little guidance and a push in the right direction.
I write my content to the person I want to work with and I speak the language that resonates with them.
The person I write to understands my vision, they align with the way I think and they are a person I would like in real life because we are one in the same.
You want to speak to one type of person, one core group of people, and the type of customer who wants exactly what you’re offering.
Don’t make the mistake of marketing to everyone because you will be a broke and frustrated marketer.
If you notice 80% of my content is structured around High Ticket Affiliate Programs because that’s the business model I’m in and it’s my main focus.
That’s not to say people can’t take my training and apply it to another company because they absolutely can, but I write my content to speak to people interested or already in High Ticket Affiliate Programs.
Easy To Digest
When creating Prosperous Affiliate the one thing I wanted to do was create content that was easy to consume.
When I go to the most blogs they have long paragraphs, crazy colors and designs and it’s very distracting and hard to follow.
I write my content with the K.I.S.S method(keep it simple stupid).
I write my content so a 5th grader could read it.
I keep my paragraphs to just 2-4 sentences, use bullet points and lots of headings to break the content up.
I use a plain white background with black text and use videos for a lot of my trainings to give people the option to watch a video or read.
Make it as easy as possible for your visitors to digest your content.
Content That Helps Produce Results
Most of my content is focused on helping struggling newbie affiliate marketers take their business online.
I show people how to leverage the internet to create a full time income online with detailed step by step tutorials.
Your content should help people solve their problems in your niche. This doesn’t have to always be how to make money, but something that adds value to the reader.
If you’re new to the business I would suggest to learn, do and then teach.
Learn a skill and then go out there and apply it yourself and then teach it to others. This is how you will position yourself as an authority before you’re well known.
Actionable content that a reader can consume and then apply to their own business will always build a relationship with them and leaving them wanting more.
A good way to give value to readers is by learning how to do something, do it yourself and document it and present it in an actionable case study that the reader can do themselves to duplicate you.
The Road Less Travelled
This isn’t necessarily a tip on creating good content, but I would suggest going the road less traveled when blogging to get leads and sales.
Every High Ticket Affiliate blogger is going after keywords centered around Affiliate Marketing. Everyone is competing for the same traffic.
The easier road is to go after search phrases in the industry that aren’t anything to do with Affiliate Marketing.
Target other companies keywords, target product reviews and people searching for home-based business opportunities.
When you go after search phrases that everyone else isn’t fighting over you can be the first person to introduce someone to High Ticket Affiliate Marketing.
If you use my authority site method where you use authority site to create your content on you can rank for a lot of these terms in a few weeks and start pulling in leads and signup’s much faster than going after huge terms like “Affiliate Marketing”.
I always like to work smarter not harder.
Focus On The Reader
The final tip is to always focus on your readers.
Most marketers try to pitch people on their business opportunity in every post, add no value for the reader and could care less about the person reading their blog.
When someone comes to your blog and can see you don’t give a crap about them they will exit the page fast.
If you want to be successful in this business you need to focus on creating content that solves people’s problems and helps them in some form or fashion.
When you write your content let the person into your world by sharing personal experiences, failures and let them know what you represent.
When you post affiliate links be upfront and don’t try to pull any shady tricks.
When you present your business opportunity make sure to show people why it will benefit them and not just why it will benefit you.
At the end of the day people care about themselves and if you want to get people to join you in your business you will need to show you care about the person reading your blog.
So there you have it, those are my suggestions of how to create content people love.
By creating my content this way I’ve made friends, a loyal following that will join me in whatever business opportunity I want to purse.
