About

I’m Paul, I’m 43, and I work a regular 40-hour week job. This site is to teach individuals who want income beyond a 9-to-5, and it focuses on building that income through Wealthy Affiliate.

A little about me

I want to be there for my family and friends when they need me. That is a big part of why a full-time job alone leaves me wanting more. When your employer sets your hours, your pay and how secure your position is, your time is not entirely yours to give.

Why I started this site

I want to help others be successful, and I want to pay my bills and live a good life. Building this site does both for me. It teaches me something I find very interesting, and the income it could bring in may be what makes that better life possible.

I say “could” on purpose. I am not promising you a result, and I would rather you hear that from me up front. What I can say is that the work is worth doing, and that I would rather do it alongside other people than alone.

Who this is for

This site is for those who want income beyond a 9-to-5. You might like your job or you might not. Either way, relying on a single paycheck puts a lot of your life in one employer’s hands. If that bothers you, you are the person I am writing for.

Two articles on the site cover this directly. Why One Paycheck Is a Riskier Plan Than It Feels explains the problem with depending on one source of income. If you are wondering how anyone fits a second income around a full-time job, How to Build Income Around Your Job on Five Hours a Week is the place to look.

How this site earns money

This site promotes Wealthy Affiliate. If you join through my referral, I earn a commission, and it recurs for as long as you stay subscribed. That is how the site pays for itself, and it is also why I want the people I send there to succeed.

Where to start

Start with the article on the risk of a single paycheck if you are still deciding whether this is for you. Start with the five-hours article if you have already decided and want to know what the work looks like next to a full-time job.

If you have a question, or you just want to say hello, you can reach me on the contact page. I read what comes in, and I would like to hear where you are with your own income plans.
